Moose farm

When you think of Sweden, you automatically think of water, nature and MOOSE! A majestic creature that roams the forests of Sweden. It is absolutely magical to meet one in the wild, yet it will not always happen during your holiday. In Värmland, we have a small population of them which makes is difficult to spot one. Luckily, there is this great park in Dals-ed where you can meet this big animal upclose. Moose Ranch has proven itself worthy as they promise what they write on their website. During the high season they offer guests the possibility to feed them on the spot. During this feeding time it might be possible to pet them, depending on the amount of visitors.

It is also very well possible to undertake a small hike of 1,5km or 2,4km. Both hikes are suitable with young children. While hiking, you may face a wild Moose or enjoy the edible nature around you.

The biggest reason why we moved to Årjäng. A big nature reserve that offers endless hikes, waters and sleeping activities. With more than 29.000 hectares it is the largest nature reserve of Värmland. Only 600 of them are protected areas, other hectares will be used for forestry by private owners.
