Plan Torpet Cabin

Adventurous forest cabin

Just beside our farm Södra GÃ¥rd lies this hidden beauty, Plan Torpet. A cabin build in 1939 by a local farmer who was ready to leave his parent’s house. The man got this piece of land from his parents and decided to build an off-grid cabin surrounded by the forest and nothing more. It was simple and unique in that time. Over time the house was sold and bought by others, but in 2010 a Danish man bought the cabin. He started to rebuild the structure and upgraded it with some luxury. The cabin lies directly beside the road of Glaskogen nature reserve (10 min drive), our biggest nature reserve in Värmland. At this park you can enjoy walks, water tours, fishing and much more! Read more on their website. Would you rather return to civilization; the center of Ã…rjäng is around the corner (5 min) or Arvika (45 min). In short, the house is centrally located for every occasion!

A hidden beauty in the forest

A sunny terras awaits you to enjoy the last evening sun rays on warm summer nights. Surrounded by the Swedish forest, this cabin embraces adventure!

Inside the house you will find a kitchen with sink, oven and refrigerator/freezer. Above the sink you will have a 20L water tank to fill up everyday to wash your hands or dishes. The bedroom has two single beds, not longer than 185cm, and space to store your clothes. The living area has a dining table and a sofa to enjoy your relaxing time. The cabin is heated with a firewood stove (wood included during your stay) and a TV with a DVD player. There is no cable or WIFI connection. Plan Torpet has no bathroom, but a warm outdoor shower and an off-grid toilet.
